About
Benjamin Leventer DAIM, L.Ac (He/Him)
In 2015, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and hypothyroidism (a common pairing). I struggled for years to get back to the vitality I envisioned for myself. Having studied in China for 4 years, I considered Chinese medicine as a remedy. Chinese medicine was so effective, I decided to return to school to become a Chinese medicine practitioner and help others.
I graduated from Alhambra Medical University with a doctorate in Acupuncture and Integrative medicine. Fluent in Mandarin, I had the opportunity to apprentice with Master herbalist Zhu Feng and classical acupuncturist, Master Hong. And I continue to be a student and practitioner of Applied Channel Theory, Master Tung’s extraordinary points, and Dr. Tan’s Balance method.
I am committed to the Chinese Medicine concept of "同病异治,异病同治" (tóng bìng yì zhì, yì bìng tóng zhì) which translates to "Different diseases require the same treatment, and the same disease requires different treatment." This fundamental principle dictates that each condition and patient is unique and requires a unique diagnosis and treatment.
I live in Los Angeles with me fiancee and dog, Peanut.
